About this speaker
Dr. Scott Robertson is Professor and Chair of the Information and Computer Sciences department at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. He received his Ph.D. from an interdisciplinary cognitive science program jointly offered between the psychology department and the artificial intelligence lab at Yale University. He conducts research in the areas of human-computer interaction and socio-technical computing. He has published multiple articles in areas ranging from the psychology of programming to the design and use of voter information systems, blogs now and then on Medium (as scottrob), and is the author of the 2018 book Social Media and Civic Engagement: History Theory Practice, published by Morgan & Claypool.
